Miles & Katie Bare

This weekend has been a whirl of fun! Starting out at 10:00 in Millennium Park for their free portrait session. I had mentioned on my Facebook that I was still booking weddings for 2010 and that if any friends referred me a wedding booking, I would like to give them a free portrait session. Well, it turns out that Katie's brother Ryan Wassenaar and his wife were going to be having a vow renewal and they were looking for a photographer. Katie went ahead and showed them my website, and long story short, I booked their wedding. (Which I just finished photographing this past Saturday! A beautiful wedding. Very sweet and meaningful. More on that with pictures to follow.) Hey, and that offer is still good for any and all referrals that I book. :)

Katie is just 24 weeks along. Very cute couple! I'm very excited for them.

All the pear trees are in bloom in the park right now. Simply gorgeous!
If you are wanting portraits done, now is a beautiful time of year!

This is the image I was taking in the picture above. :)

One of my favorites from this spot.

I love my new lens. It makes this gorgeous twinkling light in the background.
I can't get enough of it!

Miles is a really awesome guy. He's going to be a great father! Just a super
helpful and cheerful guy.

Before a girl is expecting it's all about posing in a way that will slim the middle...but while she is expecting it's all about NOT slimming. :) I love it!

I'm looking forward to doing photos of the THREE of them again someday! :)

Awwwwww.

Signing off for today. God bless your socks off,

  1. Haha! Love the comment about a girl's desire for a slimming portrayal... or not. SO true. ;-)

  2. Thanks for commenting on my blog, Britton!
-Nice work, too! I like the lenses that make the picture look like it's growing bigger... like, on the sides of the pictures it looks small, but grows bigger in the middle...(hopefully you know what I mean, and as you can see, I don't know what the lens is called, haha!) Couple's are fun to photograph. I hope to get more this year!
-Enjoy the rest of your day!

What's this lens you're talking about that makes the twinkling light in the background? Just curious
