Oh taste & see

"O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing."

Over the passed couple of month and Erika and I have been married we have experienced a Joy far deeper than just being married to your best friend can bring. A joy that we believe everyone can have. Simply put, It's a joy that comes from the Lord.

But there are two things we want to share,

Trust & Faith.

We have been learning for some time this lesson now. Actually since we started planning our wedding.
There are a lot of challenging things when it comes to planning a wedding, finding a home, preparing for a life-time together. And now that we are married there is a lot of things that continue to
challenge our trust and faith.

To strengthen ourselves we have been reading all the stories of the men and women listed in Hebrews 11. It's been so awesome! The benefits to trusting in our Savior are truly endless. Trust enables us to have,
rest,
security,
peace,
JOY,
relationship,
Freedom,
Creativity,
happiness so deep you know you were made for it,
and so many more things. This is just a list that comes to my mind off the top of my head.
I find that the more I trust the Lord to work out every little detail of my life, I am watching for him to show himself stronger than I could have ever imagined. This has continued to be the case over the pass couple of months.

Being a Christian doesn't mean that you won't experience problems, that things won't go "wrong" and you won't have hardships. Not at all. But what it does mean is that you have God now to help you through them and show you the greater picture of what he is up to. It takes simple waiting on him sometimes. And sometimes it works out in ways I wouldn't have chosen. But I can say that every time he works it out better for me and Erika. It's wonderful to know I can trust in Jesus for the answers to all of life's situations.

I meant for this to be a short post today and a thought that you could carry with you on your Monday. But I trust this was meant to go long. Maybe read the Verse at the top one more time and think about that today.

P.S.

Btw, for those of you who are interested in learning from me you can still join me in Tampa this January for my photography workshops there. Just click here for more information. There is limited spots available and is a first come first serve.
