Other great photos from Lisa & Scott's wedding

I just checked it out and it looks like in just 16 days will be the one year anniversary for me blogging. This is still so crazy to me. I can't believe I am actually doing this. LOL. I have some idea's for my one year anniversary blog too. :) So stay tuned!

So after showing off that other dress shot the other day and then winning the contest with it, (Thanks to all of you) I started to remember some of the other photos from that wedding and sure enough, I hadn't posted them yet. So here goes a few more from Lisa and Scott's wedding.

I WON ... thanks to all of you!

I can't begin to tell you how encouraging it was to see all of you come out and support me and my photography by voting on my image last week. That meant so much to me and as a result I won the contest! You all are so thoughtful and kind! I'm honored that you would take the time to vote.

Now my photo is being displayed in the Wedding Photo Contest Winners album on Wedding photo USA on Facebook. Being a winner is a Wedding Photo contest is cool... but not NEARLY as cool as the fact that you all were so willing to support me by leaving your comments on the image! Your comments always encourage me so much even when it's just a simple thought about the image or the blog post.
And I want to say thank you for them all!

I took this image at one of my destination weddings in Pittsburg Pennsylvania.
It's a picture of the Bride's dress against the warm morning light coming through the window.
I used the Canon 5D Mark II, 15mm Fisheye lens, 1/10 Sec at f/11, ISO 100
Image taken on Aug. 21 2010

There is a lot being said in her eyes.

Photographybybritton-5
Not sure what the story is here but I noticed this taking place too! LOL. (Groom's sister) I'm sure there is a funny story.

The maid of honor and best friend of the bride.

I LOVE how much happens in less than one minute, a matter of seconds, once the Bride steps into the room.
EVERYTHING changes and it's a beautiful!

Today I did a quick skim of some blogs and read of one of my friend's blog—Photography by Jack. He's doing a creative drive that I really like and admire! Jack has been a student of all of the workshops I've done thus far and is a good friend. I see many qualities of a real man in him. He has character and guards his words and actions accordingly. A good photographer and you can't help but like this guy! ANYWAYS... I could go on and on.

But today he is doing a bit of a contest, and I thought you all might like to share in the fun too!He asked a simple question... one that I thought would be fun to share in: "Leave a comment on this post or my Photography by Jack Facebook page with a short line on what you love about photography." Now, my answer couldn't be short. I think that's why I wont win. lol. I can't be short with a question like that.

It really got me thinking, and so I figured I'd share my answer to such questions with you. Here is what I wrote when I started thinking about it and it turned out to be anything but a "short line."

"As a wedding photographer, a man deeply in love, a people lover, a seeker of enjoying and living life to the hilt every moment I believe to be the will of God, I cannot help but be very passionate in saving these moments of LIFE. This life that I live will NEVER to be lived again. Your life will never be lived again. Only YOU can love the way you do. Only I can love the way I do. To create nostalgia and inflict pain of the lingering moments of a time too wonderful... yet never to be lived again in any other way but in your heart and in my images. To testify of beauty and redeem it's necessary quality in our lives. The challenge is one I will never fully fulfill and the goal to make images that don't just say 1 word, but truly speak forth tomes of truth and beauty. That is my goal, my passion, my love for my art, photography."

THEN just to give myself a chance at winning I enter one more quick reason why I love photography.

"I love being a visual story-teller of LIFE the way only I can see it... I guess that's the short answer to why I love photography."

I can't wait to see what you all put down for why you love photography on his blog, (If you feel like it copy and pasting your answer on my blog just for fun I would LOVE to see what you write! That would be so cool! Granted I'm not doing a giveaway.
