Jack & Nicole are getting married!!

We had an absolutely wonderful time photographing Jack and Nicole's engagement session. I'm super excited to photograph their fall wedding coming up for many reasons... but one that stands out to me is because as many of you might know, Jack was one of my first students of photography who really believed in my skills and believed I could teach him a thing or two about photography and so launched my workshops

So I'm stoked and totally happy he asked me to photograph their wedding!
It's going to be a fabulous time!

Btw we are huge fans of Pinterest... and wanted you to know you are welcome as alwasy to pin any photos you see here to your boards!

Leave some love for them in the comments below for sure! :)

Elaine Lohse + details

It's been too long since I've last posted and it's killing me that I'm so behind... we've been on the road almost all month since I photographed Elaine and Tim's wedding. I think I currently have 3 more events that are all waiting to be posted on the blog right now. I'm so behind on blogging, anyone want to blog for me? lol.

These moments... timeless!

We loved her shoes!! Actually, all of Elaine's shoes we've seen have been awesome! We are shoes freaks for sure... so we love it when our clients have such good taste too.

some pretty awesome detail in her dress to be sure!

This is probably one of my favs of Elaine from her wedding. No matter how many awesome cool lights I add, crazy positions I get myself into to get angles I like... sometimes I just like the simplicity of natural light, warm and soft. It just seems so good! Not to mention, I love "S" curves in photos. :)

Even though this is a post primary for Elaine... It seems wrong not to post a picture of her with her man, Tim! It's an awesome sport with all the photos we were rocking on their wedding! It was a blast!

Random Photography by Britton Fact: This reception was held at the Hyatt Lodge in Oak Brook IL. This happens to also be the location of the first wedding I got to assist in photographing... 7 years ago! It was fun to revisit this beautiful location again!

Wynonna Felber—Just 3 days old.

I'm finally getting the time to post a few images of my precious niece Wynonna Felber. Thanks to my brother and Sister-in-law I'm now an uncle and I LOVE IT! :D She's growing up so fast too! I was unable to see her till she was 3 days old since I was in Iowa photographing a wedding the weekend she was born. But it was great to get the photos on my phone once I heard she had come. And talking to my brother Shane, the new PROUD Father that he was on the phone was just great! My favorite line that I heard from my Mother that she heard shane say that evening was, "Wow, she's growing up so fast I'm going to be walking her down the aisle before I know it!!" LOL.

It seems like just yesterday we were doing their maternity pictures. If you would like to see them just click here.

Seriously, one of the most beautiful babies I've ever seen. She pretty much looked like a gem the moment she was born.

Ah, the easy life. All you have to do is eat, sleep and poop and she makes her parents proud. For some reason my parents aren't too proud of me when I perform such simple task.

Don't you wish you could rest that soundly? I don't! Wake up every two hours and cry doesn't NOT sound easy to me. Man, no wonder babies LOOK like they are sleeping so good. ;) JK!

Shane and Jenny,
Thanks so much for giving me one of the sweetest gifts I'd ever received. I LOVE being an uncle.
You two are great parents and we love having you three around!
